Before we get to the results, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who auditioned this year. We had an absolutely fantastic turnout and we were blessed to have such a large pool of talented singers audition for the Chorale. Unfortunately, because of the quantity of singers we received this year, we had to be very selective in our audition process. If your name does not appear on the list below, we fully encourage you to audition in the future.

The names of those accepted are below. We are so happy to welcome you all to the Chorale family! Our first rehearsal is tomorrow, September 10^th at 4:30 pm, and we can’t wait to see you.

Reminder to the freshmen: Because Convocation is tomorrow, we ask that you still come to our rehearsal but arrive dressed and ready to go. Let your RA or RD know beforehand that you won’t be walking down with your floor to Convocation and the barbeque, and we’ll let you go in enough time.

It is almost the start of a new academic year, and we are so excited to announce our fall audition schedule!

September 6th – 9th: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM @ Lyons Hall 426

An audition only takes a few minutes, and there is no prep necessary.  Just show up to Lyons 426 any time in the above timeframe.  All levels of experience are welcome!  Whether you have been singing for years, or you are just a shower singer, we look forward to meeting you.

For returning choralers, welcome back! Re-auditions will be:

August 31st – September 2nd: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM 

September 3rd:  1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

In honor of the last ‘choraler of the week’ for the 2014-2015 academic year, we decided to select our wonderful president, Jose Magraner.  Jose was a fantastic president this year.  He excelled at creating a positive and nurturing environment for all choralers while performing the many duties of his position with apparent ease. Thank you Jose, and the rest of the senior officers, for all the amazing work you did this year!

It is that special time of year where we begin the process of electing next year’s Junior Officers! Officers put in a lot of work to make chorale run as smoothly as it does.  Getting elected is not a popularity contest, but rather picking those who have a passion for chorale and a desire to make it a great experience for all. We are lucky enough to have these attributes apply to all of our nine sophomore candidates.

Remember Choralers, voting is on April 9th, and you must be in attendance to vote.  In the meantime, the candidates have created platforms so you can get to know them a little better; these are shown below.  Good luck to all of the candidates!

On January 23, 2015, Chorale held its first ever cabaret event!  This was a fantastic opportunity for choralers to showcase their special, and sometimes exotic, talents.  The acts were as follows:

The cabaret was a huge success, and we look forward to more events of this kind in the future.  Our Social Director, Ellie Tanji (pictured below), did a phenomenal job of organizing the event.  Some photos from that night are included below.

Over Spring break, The University Chorale of Boston College traveled to Galway and Dublin, Ireland.  We had the opportunity to sing in some historic and awe-inspiring locations, and to experience a beautiful country.
