Congratulations, New Members!

Please check the list below for admitted choristers for Fall 2014. Thank you all for auditioning! Remember, we do have rehearsal Thursday September 11th starting at 4:30 on the 4th floor of Lyons.

To those who do not find their name on this list we apologize. This year we had a large and talented turnout and we had to be especially selective about new members for this fall season. We encourage everyone to audition next semester or audition for other groups on campus such as the Liturgy Arts Group or any other group associated with the Boston College Music Department.

Student Activities Fair!

If you missed us at the fair that’s ok, because you can still come see us during Auditions starting this Sunday the 7th through Wednesday the 10th from 2-6 PM everyday in Lyons 428. Remember, no need to memorize a piece of music. Just come on up and ready to sing. It won’t take longer than 15 minutes.

We’d Like You to Audition!

So the school year is almost upon us which means the University Chorale of Boston College is holding auditions!

Auditions

We are holding auditions this fall at the start of the year for the entire BC community and they are incredibly simple. Just show up during audition hours, sing My Country ‘Tis of Thee from sheet music, and go through some scales and pitch matching for our director John Finney to hear. Here are the dates and times for the auditions.

Lyons Hall room 428

Sunday, September 7th from 2-6 pm
Monday, September 8th from 2-6 pm
Tuesday, September 9th from 2-6 pm,
Wednesday, September 10th from 2-6 pm
We have openings for every voice part so if you have even the smallest amount of interest come try out. It can never hurt.
Re-Auditions
So for returning members re-auditions are a few days earlier than regular auditions and the first rehearsal is that first Thursday back at school.
Lyons Hall room 428
Tuesday, September 2nd from 1-5 pm
 Wednesday, September 3rd from 1-5 pm
Thursday, September 4th from 1-3 pm.
We’ll have the first rehearsal (returning members only) on Thursday, September 4th, starting at 4:30.

Welcome to the Brand New Chorale Website!

So welcome everyone to the new website for the University Chorale of Boston College. This is the new home for every bit of news and info for the Chorale. Make sure you stop by regularly because we will be updating the announcements and other important sections in the coming weeks. Any announcements about auditions and POPS on the Heights will hit here first.

Thanks to Chris Galluzzo for his hard work in turning this website into a reality! This new page comes at the perfect time to ring in a new school year and we hope that you’ll be with us all along the way!
