It’s time to meet your 2023-2024 Chorale E-Board! We are so excited to announce our officers for this year, and bring you the best the chorale can be!

Thank you to all of the singers that auditioned for the University Chorale! All of you have such incredible voices, and we applaud you for auditioning, and for your interest in the Chorale. If you are not on the list, we encourage you to audition again next semester! With that, we would like to welcome the new members of the University Chorale of Boston College:

Our next rehearsals are sectional rehearsals on Monday, 9/11 from 4:30-6pm in Lyons 423 for Sopranos and Altos, and Tuesday 9/12 from 4:30-6pm in Lyons 423 for Tenors and Basses. We will see you there!

Hello friends of the Chorale! We are excited to announce that our spring break trip this year will be to Spain and Portugal, with main stops in Seville and Lisbon. Attached is our proposed itinerary, detailing our stops in historic churches, monasteries, and castles to name a few! We would like to extend a thank you to our tour agency, Contemporary Tours, who help us make this trip possible! We cannot wait to bring you so much beautiful music this year. Adios and adeus!

We had our annual end of year Chorale Banquet right before finals, where we announced our incoming officers, announced the new senior officer positions, said goodbye to our seniors and senior officers, and celebrated a great year together! Thanks to all who made the 2022-23 year a great one!

John Finney has made a lasting impact on the Chorale, and has touched countless lives through his direction and love for music. His impact on the Boston College and the Chorale is immeasurable, and we’d like to see everyone who was touched by his care and passion for music have the opportunity to attend his last concert as Director of the University Chorale.

As such, we have made all our tickets for this performance free. We ask that you take the money that you would have used to purchase these tickets to donate to a new fund made in John Finney’s honor. This fund is aimed at reducing the costs for each student to travel to Europe on our annual Spring Break Trip, as one of John’s biggest wishes for the Chorale was to make this trip accessible to every student who wanted to go. All donations made in John Finney’s honor or made in excess of $10 will go towards this fund.
